Overview of job responsibilities and personal passions:

As a Financial Services Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers, I work with various financial institutions (e.g., banks, fintechs, payment processors, etc.) on different projects to implement, assess and contribute to initiatives they want to pursue. My scope of work varies significantly depending on the client and project but I typically assess current state processes, analyze data, engage with stakeholders and provide high-level recommendations for the client.

I’m passionate about music and fitness. I serve on the worship team at my church and love singing, playing piano and guitar. I love anything active and am typically playing tennis, beach volleyball, rock climbing or running throughout the week. I ran my first marathon earlier this year with a time of 3:40!

What do you believe have been some of your greatest personal and professional accomplishments?

This year, I recently won my second cheese rolling competition in Gloucester, England. The Cooper’s Hill Cheese Rolling is an annual event in Gloucester, England where a 9lb wheel of cheese is released down one of the steepest hills in England, with a slant of 45 degrees and a 2:1 grade. Competitors run down the 200 yard hill with the aim to be the first one to the bottom and the winner gets to keep the 9lb wheel of cheese. Winning this competition brought a lot of recognition to me and my alma mater, NC State, and provided an opportunity to donate money I had raised through t-shirt sales from NIL deals to the Jimmy V Cancer Fund Foundation.

How do the values or skills you learned at Camp show up in your everyday work and/or personal life?

Achieving and setting goals for myself are some of the most important skills that I learned through Camp and that I use everyday. Camp cultivated an environment where failing was a positive thing and a learning opportunity which allowed me to set ambitious goals. This led me to becoming goal-oriented both personally and professionally. Goals help me stay driven personally and create benchmarks for myself professionally.

Is there a person that had a huge influence on you while you were at Camp? How and why did they impact you?

The two people that have had the greatest impact on me from Camp are Tess Bettinsoli and Carrie Weatherman. Tess was my counselor in Cabin 42 and is one of the coolest people I know. Tess has always encouraged me to be myself and has been supportive of all my achievements. She is also incredibly humble and demure and inspires me to pursue things that I love and are passionate about rather than the status quo.

Carrie was the Athletics Chief when I was a counselor on Athletics and was an Athletics counselor when I was a camper. She taught me what it looks like to be a great leader. She always listened and incorporated our feedback and always provided an inclusive environment. I had always loved Athletics as a camper but working with her as a counselor made me appreciate and love it even more because she cultivated such a fun atmosphere.

Favorite Camp food: One of my favorite meals was tomato soup and grilled cheese. Chaco tacos were hands down my favorite dessert.

Favorite Mess Hall Entry Song: Anything Taylor Swift.

Devotion you best remember from Camp: Writing down fears and lies we tell ourselves on a piece of toilet paper and then flushing it.

What three words best describe you? Adventurous, outgoing and thoughtful. I’m very extroverted, love exploring new places and doing things intentionally for or with others.
